Abstract
Seizures are a common occurrence in patients who are dependent on alcohol. Diagnosis of the etiology of seizures in the alcohol-dependent patient is a difficult diagnostic problem. This paper reviews the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to seizures in the alcohol-dependent patient in the emergency department.
