Facilitated endotracheal and tracheostomy tube replacement.

Techniques are presented for facilitating rapid replacement of endotracheal tubes and tracheostomy cannula. These techniques are of the greatest benefit to severely ill patients as the duration of separation from respiratory support is minimized by their use.
