Abstract

Connection between the value of the latent period of simple sensorimotor reactions and the level of functional lability of the nervous system was studied in 126 subjects (males, the mean age of 21 years). Lack of statistically significant variations of the mean values of the latent period was revealed in subjects with different gradations of the level of functional lability of the nervous system. The correlation was not found also by means of correlation analysis between the variable series characterizing the functional lability on the one hand and the latent periods on the other hand. Basing on the data obtained it seems possible to think that the latent periods of simple sensorimotor reactions may not be considered as direct characteristics of the functional lability of the nervous system.
