[Biliary hypertension in opisthorchiasis patients].

On the basis of the over twenty years experience with the treatment of surgical complications of opisthorchiasis the authors propose a classification of causes of biliary hypertension in patients with this disease. The intra-, inter- and extracanalicular causes of the obstruction of biliary ducts, hypertension in the duodenum and associated forms are formulated. To prevent and successfully treat the biliary syndrome it is necessary to reestablish the bile outflow by surgical methods.
