Pelvic lipomatosis is a rare disease characterized by an abnormal accumulation of adipose tissues around the pelvic organs. The symptoms are vague and non-specific. The diagnosis is facilitated by typical radiological features. CT scanning is extremely useful and typical. The course of the disease is usually benign in older men, but may be dangerous in the young; it may require diversion.
