A minor modification of an existing vestibuloplasty technique, which will enhance the short-term and long-term results, is described. Prosthetic rehabilitation can begin in the third or fourth postoperative week. The loss of vestibular depth in the early postoperative period will be eliminated. Oral hygiene is enhanced by the more natural contour of the vestibule. The patient will experience exceptional retention, and that is a benefit for the surgeon, the prosthodontist, and the patient.
