Three patients with mandibular retrognathia and marked incisor supraocclusion were treated by sagittal osteomy of the mandibular body. The technique employed is described, and possible indications in certain cases of this type discussed, these including particularly patients in whom molar articulation must not be modified, and when the height of the lower region of the face contraindicates segmental osteotomy.
