[Mandibular fractures. A 4 year statistical study].

Statistical analysis of data from patients with mandibular fractures produced results in agreement with etiologic and pathologic findings in all previous studies. The possible use of miniaturized plate and screws osteosynthesis is discussed. Results of the study indicate a good prognosis for mandibular body fractures but a more reserved prognosis for bicondylar fractures.
