Abstract
On the basis of an experience with 109 operations for different kinds of recurrent goiter certain indications and contraindications for operation are recommended. For the prevention of recurrencies and conservative treatment of a recurrent goiter the administration of thyroid hormones is indicated. Original details of the method and operative technique are described.
