[Morphometric study of the adrenal medulla of rats in long-term hypokinesia].

Using Wood's differential staining, norepinephrine- and epinephrine-secreting cells of the adrenal medulla of 36 Wistar male rats exposed to 1 to 5.5-month hypokinesia were measured karyometrically. After 2 month hypokinesia the nuclear volume of norepinephrine-secreting cells increased significantly. After 5.5-month hypokinesia no dystrophic changes were seen in the adrenal medulla.
