An analysis of age-specific and age-adjusted incidence of malignant neoplasms of female genital organs in the German Democratic Republic between 1964 and 1977 shows: Due to screening activities, incidence of cervical cancer has decreased. The risk of endometrial cancer slowly increases. Incidence of ovarian cancer remains constant. The quality of gynaecologic oncologic care has improved.
