Testicular cancer is the most frequent malignancy in young adult males. Seminoma, the most frequent cell type, causes exophthalmos on a hormonal basis; actual tumor invasion of the orbit has been reported once. We report here a second case of orbital invasion by seminoma. When tumor has spread beyond the retroperitoneum, treatment with chemotherapy is usually recommended. A biopsy of the orbital metastatic tumor may be the technique with least morbidity to document tumor state prior to committing the patient to systemic chemotherapy.
睾丸癌是年轻成年男性中最常见的恶性肿瘤。精原细胞瘤是最常见的细胞类型，可通过激素作用导致眼球突出；眼眶受到肿瘤实际侵犯的情况仅有一例报道。我们在此报告第二例精原细胞瘤眼眶侵犯病例。当肿瘤扩散至腹膜后以外时，通常建议进行化疗。眼眶转移性肿瘤活检可能是在患者接受全身化疗之前记录肿瘤状态且发病率最低的技术。
