A 64-year-old woman with painless obstructive jaundice had a 7 cm mass in the head of the pancreas. At operation and biopsy the mass was found to be benign. It was removed by a Whipple procedure, and the diagnosis of cystadenoma was made. A three-year follow-up has been satisfactory.
