[Elimination of pathologic torsion of the crural bones during treatment of various severe foot deformities in children].

The author has studied the mechanism of the torsion development of shin bones in normality. The disturbance of the mechanism as an extensive external torsion of shin bones is established in 127 patients with neglected congenital talipes and as an internal twist in critical forms of plano-valgoid deformity of feet in 16 patients. The significance of the two kinds of the torsion pathology of shin bones in the treatment of such feet deformities is substantiated. An original author's method of treatment with an original apparatus is described.
