[Ultrasonography and anencephaly].

On the basis of a personal clinical case, an analysis is made of the most recent data of medical literature concerning the pathogenesis and diagnosis of anencephaly. Emphasis is laid on the primary role of ultrasonography for an antenatal diagnosis of such fetal malformation.
