A technique for operative cholangiography to evaluate failure of passage of contrast material.

An additional technique is described for obtaining operative T-tube cholangiograms when initial roentgenograms fail to demonstrate passage of contrast into the duodenum. Roentgenograms made with compression of the proximal common duct during injection may demonstrate no obstruction to be present, thereby obviating further or repeat exploration.
