To test Levonian's retentivity-accessibility hypothesis on arousal and retention 48 undergraduates participated in an experiment on retention while skin resistance was recorded. Results support Levonian's hypothesis only for longer-term (30-min.) retention but not for short-tem (3-min.) retention.
