[Analysis of cytoplasmic aspartate aminotransferase using active enzyme centrifugation].

Using active enzyme centrifugation, it was demonstrated that pig heart cytoplasmic aspartate aminotransferase retains its dimeric conformation with a decrease in protein concentration down to 0.2 microgram/ml (50 mM L-aspartate, 5 mM alpha-ketoglutarate, 0.1 M NaCl, 0.05 M potassium-phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, 20 degrees C).
