Abstract
Although knot formation occurs only rarely in the distal portions of angiographic catheters, its prompt recognition and the knowledge of various techniques for untying the knot can avoid surgery. The authors describe a unique method for untying a catheter knot using a 60 cm .035-in tip deflecting guide.
