[Myasthenia gravis and pemphigus foliaceus].

Myasthenia gravis associated with thymoma affecting a 76-year-old white woman is reported. Two years later, after an immunosuppressive treatment with prednisone and irradiation of the tumor, bullous lesions appeared on the skin sparing the mucosae. The histopathologic features and the direct and indirect immunofluorescence tests indicated the existence of pemphigus foliaceus. The association of Myasthenia Gravis with pemphigus foliaceus is very rare, and the present case is actually the third reported in the literature.
