Percutaneous internal drainage in obstructive jaundice.

In eight patients with inoperable obstructive jaundice, an endoprosthesis was inserted percutaneously through the obstruction to allow internal drainage of bile to the bowel. The method offers several advantages over external percutaneous drainage and is warranted in selected cases.
