Abstract

A case of mandibular bone graft with metallic mesh implant following a segmental resection for ameloblastoma was evaluated by means of 99m technetium disphosphonate bone scanning of the mandible. The bone scan showed good evidence of bone graft regeneration when conventional radiography could not read any bone tissue regeneration within the metallic mesh. The scan was extremely helpful in eliminating the need for surgical intervention and exploration.

对1例因成釉细胞瘤行节段性切除术后采用金属网植入物进行下颌骨移植的病例，通过99m锝二膦酸盐下颌骨扫描进行评估。当传统X线摄影无法显示金属网内有任何骨组织再生迹象时，骨扫描显示出骨移植再生的良好证据。该扫描对于避免手术干预和探查极为有用。
