After induction of anesthesia the heart rate diminished by 21.4%, the mean pressure by 12.2% in the same time decreased the cardiac output by 19.3%, the calculated total peripheral resistance increased by 13%. The oxygen uptake decreased by 16%. The advantages and contraindications of this technique in neuroanesthesia are discussed.
