Groups of chick broilers were given diets containing a supplement of dried pig excrements at 2.5%, 5% and 10% concentrations for 55 days. Examination of the broilers before slaughtering and the post-mortal examination of the carcasses and organs did not indicate any signs of health disorders ascribable to an unfavourable influence of the diet. However, some statistically significant differences were revealed between the control group and experimental groups in the activities of blood serum transaminases, in the organoleptic evaluation, and in some chemical characteristics of meat and fat. Despite all this, the meat of the animals in all groups could be safely regarded as edible.
