Polytraumatised patients often have a stable macrocirculation although they are in a state of shock. This article quotes a case report showing that restricted possibilities of the measurement methods necessarily entail "blind" therapy. Such therapy, however, should be continued at the earliest possible opportunity in a hospital according to objective criteria.
