[Problems of the pathogenesis of cor pulmonale in chronic nonspecific lung diseases].

The article discusses the values of 22 external respiration indices reflecting the condition of the lung volumes and their ratios, the irregular distribution of the ventilation-perfusion ratios, the alveolar ventilation, the diffusion property of the lungs, and the gas composition of the alveolar air in patients with chronic nonspecific diseases of the lungs before and after the development of chronic cor pulmonale and in its stages of compensation and decompensation. Correlative and regressive analysis of the main pathogenetic mechanisms was conducted, making it possible to reveal the contribution made by each of them to the pathogenesis of cor pulmonale.
