Scrotal reconstruction using thigh pedicle flaps.

A technique is described for reconstructing the scrotum in patients who have sustained massive loss of the skin overlying the scrotum and perineum. Scrotal reconstruction with superior and laterally based thigh flaps was done in 3 patients and all 3 had an acceptable cosmetic result. The procedure has the advantage of simplicity, early closure of the wound, excellent cosmetic appearance and maintenance of testicular function.
