Six cases are presented in which tuberculosis (TB) was wrongly diagnosed. The patients were all Blacks from areas of high TB prevalence, and treatment for presumed TB was instituted without bacteriological confirmation. There were delays of up to 2 years before the correct diagnosis was made, involving much morbidity and unnecessary treatment. There was one potentially preventable death.
本文报告了6例结核病（TB）被误诊的病例。这些患者均为来自结核病高流行地区的黑人，在未经细菌学确诊的情况下就开始了针对疑似结核病的治疗。在做出正确诊断之前，延误时间长达2年，导致了许多发病率以及不必要的治疗。其中有1例死亡本可避免。
