Findings at 55 degrees posterior oblique tomography and chest films were compared to those at thoracotomy in 53 patients with malignant lung tumor. A correct evaluation of presence of lymph node metastases was made by tomography in 44 of the patients. Lack of tissue diagnosis at tomography makes mediastinoscopy better as a staging procedure. Oblique hilotomography is mainly indicated as a method for accurate evaluation of the questionably large hilum.
对53例恶性肺肿瘤患者，将55度后斜位体层摄影及胸部X线片的检查结果与开胸手术所见进行了比较。44例患者通过体层摄影对有无淋巴结转移作出了正确评估。体层摄影缺乏组织学诊断，这使得纵隔镜检查作为一种分期方法更具优势。斜位肺门体层摄影主要作为准确评估可疑增大肺门问题的一种方法。
