Regional lymph nodes were examined in 4 groups of oncologic patients (with cancer of oral cavity, breast, stomach and lung). Histological types of the lymph node reaction were correlated to patients' survival. Favourable prognosis in all four groups was related to lymphocytic predominance, especially when combined with sinus histiocytosis. The predominance of germinal centres (combined with sinus histiocytosis) was a favourable sign but in stomach cancer. A marker of unfavourable prognosis was lymphocytic depletion, especially when sinus histiocytosis was absent.
对4组肿瘤患者（口腔癌、乳腺癌、胃癌和肺癌患者）的区域淋巴结进行了检查。淋巴结反应的组织学类型与患者的生存率相关。所有四组患者的良好预后均与淋巴细胞为主有关，尤其是伴有窦组织细胞增生时。生发中心为主（伴有窦组织细胞增生）是一个良好的迹象，但在胃癌中除外。预后不良的一个标志是淋巴细胞耗竭，尤其是在没有窦组织细胞增生的情况下。
