[Malignant mesothelioma of the peritoneum. Case report].

It is reported about a case of an advanced malign mesothelioma of the peritoneum. After a palliative operation the patient was treated for 3 years combined-cytostatically with cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, 5-fluororacil and vincristin. The patient has been free of symptoms of tumours for 4 years. Possible variants of therapy are discussed because of the rareness of the tumour and the therapeutic problems resulting from it.
