Two new cases of primary Candida osteoarthritis in heroin addicts are reported, bringing the total number of published cases to 13. However, to date, only two published cases have reported involvement of the anterior thoracic cage. It would appear that the incidence of some candidal infections (uveitis, osteoarthritis) has increased in heroin addicts over about two years. There may be a relationship between these infections and the type and origin of the heroin consumed.
