A system of the methodological approaches to the assessment and prediction of hemodynamic effects of hypotensive and antianginal agents is proposed. The system includes the clinical and pharmacological tests in the population and twin studies with the use of the "partner control method", thereby allowing a comparative evaluation of the efficacy of the cardiovascular agents, prediction of their hemodynamic effects, and appraisal of the contribution of genetic and environmental factors to phenotypic variability of these effects.
