In the paper the author summarized the results of investigations of vasoactive preparations of various action in patients with ischaemic cerebral circulatory disturbances due to hypertension and atherosclerosis. After clinico-rheographie correlations it was concluded that each vasoactive agent should be used taking into account the pathogenetic mechanisms of cerebral circulatory disturbances. Better results were obtained treating patients with preparations with antihypoxic properties and those influencing cerebral metabolism.
