the birth of a child may cause difficulties in the sexual adjustment of a marital relationship. The informational interests of 42 postpartum couples were investigated. Results indicate that postpartum sexual counseling needs to be individualized and that nurses and health educators can make a significant contribution to the quality of nursing care given to patients.
