[Treatment of combined fractures of the horizontal ramus of the mandible and the mandibular condyle (author's transl)].

A method for treating combined fractures of the mandible and subcondylar region is described. The mandibular fracture is treated by bicortical screws, with or without plates according to the type of fracture. The subcondylar fracture is treated by functional reduction using the technique described by Delaire. An analysis of the results obtained in four cases out of 23 is reported. These were chosen or followed by the same surgeon, and radiological examination conducted using the same incidences.
