Abstract
A total of 15 representative cases of retained embedded third molars in persons older than 40 years are presented. Surgical difficulties and postsurgical complications and morbidity that occurred would have been greatly reduced if these teeth been removed earlier in life.

本文展示了15例40岁以上人群中滞留埋伏第三磨牙的典型病例。如果这些牙齿在早期就被拔除，那么手术难度以及术后出现的并发症和发病率将会大幅降低。
