The various legal forms of contracts for dental treatment were explained on the basis of 23 legally binding decisions made by courts of the Federal Republic of Germany. Employment contract law, work contract law, and a combination of employment and work contract law come into question. A decision in favor on the patient or the dentist is possible with all types of contracts. Recently, a tendency has been noticed toward employment contract law, whereby the work done by the dental technician has been exclusively judged according to work contract law.
