A number of pour-type denture base resins were found to have low glass transition temperatures, indicating a propensity to thermal distortion. These low transition temperatures reflected high residual monomer contents. Furthermore, such materials exhibited high mechanical loss tangents, consistent with high creep rates observed previously.
