Correction of axial inclinations is frequently indicated for reasons of function, esthetics, and stability. Following appropriate diagnosis, the desired position and inclination of the malpositioned tooth or teeth should be determined. In certain instances several treatment plans may be viable, and the eventual choice of treatment may be governed by biomechanical constraints.
