On studying the main classes of serum immunoglobulins in four different groups of diabetics, representing more than 400 subjects, the author has noticed that the mean values of IgA are almost constantly raised, irrespective of the clinical parameters analyzed and suggests that this fact should probably be correlated with a change of IgA catabolism.
