The work of George Rosen: observations on a very small sample.

A sampling of the work of George Rosen-physician, public health worker, medical historian, sociologist, and teacher--is presented to illustrate his method of relating historical development ot the material conditions of both past and present. The material circumstances which nurtured Rosen's Marxist philosophical perspective are traced.
