Without any doubt remarkable progress in the field of adjuvant cancer chemotherapy after local-regional treatment has been achieved during the last decade. Nevertheless the real results are behind our expectations basing on theoretical and experimental considerations. Therefore adjuvant cancer chemotherapy should be used only within controlled clinical trials. Routine application of surgical adjuvant chemotherapy or combined radiological and cytostatic treatment in localized tumours can not be recommended.
毫无疑问，在过去十年中，局部区域治疗后的辅助性癌症化疗领域已取得显著进展。然而，基于理论和实验考量，实际结果却未达我们的预期。因此，辅助性癌症化疗应仅在可控的临床试验中使用。不建议在局限性肿瘤中常规应用手术辅助化疗或联合放疗及细胞抑制治疗。
