The diagnosis and treatment of disease in the breast after augmentation mammoplasty requires a thorough understanding of the techniques of augmentation. Absolutely no compromise should be made because of the prosthesis. Using a careful history, physical examination, knowledge of techniques of augmentation and currently available diagnostic tools, the breast after augmentation mammoplasy can be safely and accurately treated.
