An AV angioma was identified on the right occipital side in a 44-year old patient who had been an epileptic for a long time; this diagnosis was obtained via computerised tomography and angiography. The angiographic finding is discussed in detail. Up to now, a total of 16 cases of AV angiomas with persisting a. trigemina primitiva has become known. The angiographic finding is considered to be a chance finding. The occurrence of a primitive vessel together with another vascular malformation points to an early teratogenetic determination period of the malformations.
