[Metastasis of prostatic cancer (based on lymphographic data)].

A lymphographic examination of 56 patients with prostatic carcinoma established the incidence of lymphogenous metastases for different stages of primary tumor advancement: there were no metastases in patients with stage I tumors; metastases were found in 3 out of 16 cases of stage II tumors; in 4 out of 12 with stage III tumors and in 13 out of 21 patients with stage IV tumors. The prevalent site of prostatic carcinoma metastases were iliac lymph nodes. Indications for lymphographic examination depending on local advancement of tumor process are discussed.
