[Differential diagnosis of acute appendicitis and acute viral hepatitis in children].

On the basis of observation of 60 patients in the prodromic period of acute virus hepatitis admitted with symptoms of acute appendicitis the authors discuss problems of differential diagnosis of these diseases. One out of 6 operated patients proved to have phlegmonous appendicitis. The surgical intervention (appendicectomy) did not influence the severity of the disease, terms of the treatment and outcomes of acute virus hepatitis.
