Ocular biometry tests were conducted in approximately 100 full-term neonates (of both sexes) during the first five days following birth. Measured parameters included the dimensions and shape of the ocular globe, and optic component refractions. For the first time, individual values were determined for the corneal curvature radius, corneal refraction, and the transverse diameter and shape of the globe. Results are analyzed statistically, and the most important correlations calculated.
