[Valvuloplasty in deep venous insufficiency].

Transvenous valvuloplasty of Kistner is one of the techniques described amongst others (venous transposition, free graft, etc.) in order to avoid deep venous reflux. The use of this method re-establishes the competence of the femoral confluent. We feel that the operation is very efficient when indicated. Although our experience is only initial, the results obtained in our first eight patients have been--as to now--very satisfactory.
