The Direct Bacterial Agglutination (DBA) Method, with etiological agents and the serum samples of the patients was used for detecting the site of infection of 100 patients with urinary tract infection (UTI). In 83% of the patients Gram-negative, and in 17% Gram-positive bacteria were isolated. The antibody titers in sera against these etiological agents were found to and pseudomonas. In upper and lower UTI caused by klebsiella, enterobacter, S. aureus and S. epidermidis, there was no difference in antibody levels, when compared with the control group (50 healthy persons). The DBA Method described can be helpful in detecting the site of infection when used with other methods.
